The Alcalmist

pages 1-25

In this chapter I found out the main character is a shepherd. Also i find out that this book actually has no chapters. Also the main character has no name so far but he is looking for a merchant girl. He pays a mind reader to see if he will eve bee with this girl but the fortune teller gives no clues except about treasure in Egypt. This is weird because the main character has been having dreams about this treasure. He is now thinking about going to find this treasure but then bumps in a king. This kit somehow knows everything about this main character and says he can tell his future if the boy gives away half he's sheep. He at first says no but is now thinking about it....

Blood on the River

P19-26 (chapter 2)

In this chapter Samuel is still on the boat. He is getting a little sea sick from the sway of the boat so the captain lets him rest a little bit. Later, the captain gets confronted on the ship and almost gets arrested on a fake charge. He quickly argues the charge and proves himself innocent making the guy provoking him a liar. This cause this arrest to turn into a life threatening brawl and someone almost dies. Samuel is encouraging the fight being that this is something he does and likes to watch. The fight resolves its self turning this whole situation into a dramatic small and silly confrontation. Im actually not sure if this part of the book was significant or not but I hope to find out later. The arrest was a paradox because he was being charge for something he did on land but the date he did it was when he was on sea but after looking closely we found it he did do it just at a different time. Also, there was dramatic irony in the story because while he was being charged nobody new if it was true or not but I did as the reader.
